California Rally Series (CRS) was founded in 1975 by regional rally event organizers with three major goals:
Support event organizers: The CRS provides signage, radios, timing, and other equipment to event organizers. It also provides mentoring and other training for new organizers.
Provide championships with meaningful year-end awards for local competitors through the CRS Rally, Rallycross, and Rallysprint championships.
Promote the sport of Performance Rallying by running the annual rally school, recognizing volunteers, and promoting rally in the region through social media, our website, promotional stickers, and by participating in car shows and other events.
The role of supporting event organizers includes loaning organizers funds to pay up-front expenses as well as providing clocks, sign boards, radios and other equipment for organizers to use.
