Dear Competitors:

The Frazier Mountain Rally has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 20th, 2017.

In recent discussions with the USFS District Ranger regarding our pending permit application, two newly evolving concerns were raised. This season’s significant wet weather trends may render portions of the proposed stages roads impassable or make them susceptible to additional road damage; and the USFS resources required to perform necessary impact studies to allow the event to expand to the Grade Valley area are not available at this time.

These issues required us to cooperatively identify a new date acceptable to the Ranger, to seek the approval of the date change from the California Rally Series Board of Governors, and to revise our special use permit application. On Friday, the BOG (and most especially, the organizers of High Desert Trails and Idaho Rally) graciously approved the new date, May 20, 2017.

The 2017 Frazier Mountain Rally event will follow the same route as the 2016 event, with 4 stages (2 turnarounds) on Frazier Mountain. We are exploring the opportunity to include a section of the tarmac in the special stage, which is currently part of the transit route from the service area to the start control. The event also plans to include SxS UTVs.

We regret the inconvenience of the date change and apologize for the proximity to other CRS events. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you at this challenging and unique event.

Sincerely,
Brian & Stacey
